What is a Paper Band Filter?
A Paper Band Filter is a gravity-based filtration system used to remove metal chips, sludge, and contaminants from industrial coolants, oils, and lubricants.
It uses a disposable filter paper laid over a conveyor mesh. The fluid flows through the paper, and contaminants are retained. It is widely used in grinding and machining operations.

WORKING PRINCIPLE (STEP-BY-STEP)
- Dirty coolant enters the system.
- It flows over the filter paper laid on a wire mesh.
- Solid particles are trapped on the paper surface.
- Clean coolant passes through into the clean tank.
- As clogging increases, liquid level rises.
- Float switch activates the motor to move paper forward.
- Fresh paper comes in, dirty paper is discarded into a bin.
